Montreal vs Vegas: are the Knights in trouble?
Montrealcan be rightfully called the «dark horse» this season because no one could have expected them to fight for the Stanley Cup final. The team looked inconsistent during the regular season and made many mistakes, but the Canadiens have transformed in the playoffs.
Montreal failed to adjust to Vegas in the opening match of the series and they were defeated with a score of 1:4. But in the second game, they looked much better. However, after taking a three-goal lead, Dominique Ducharme's men allowed themselves to relax, for which they paid with two conceded goals. The ending was a bit nervous, but Montreal still won - 3:2.
Vegas Golden Knights
Vegas had a tough series against Minnesota and Colorado, but in those confrontations, the team proved that they are ready to fight for the Stanley Cup this year. The motivation of the players was very strong in every game. Mark Stone didn't outshine his teammates, as each line can create dangerous moments at the opponent's goal.
For example, in the last game, Alex Pietrangelo scored a double, but, sadly, his goals did not bring the Knights a victory. And it was important for the Knights to win at home twice in a row since they were not very confident away and scored only three victories in six games.
In eight H2H games out of ten, more than one goal was scored in the first period.
In their last four games out of five, Montreal have scored in the second period.
In our opinion, Montreal have found their game during the playoffs and, with the support of the fans, can impose a fight on Vegas. Moreover, in the previous match, the Canadiens already beat the Knights in regulation. They got the additional motivation, and now the initiative is on their side.
Our prediction is Montreal to win with Asian handicap (0)
The two previous games of this series turned out to be quite interesting. Both teams have a strong attacking line, so we suggest betting that at least five goals will be scored in the upcoming match.
Second wager - total over 4.5 goal
